Poem

Don't look at me and lie.
Don't even turn your head and sigh.
I'm standing here before you.
Though you're to afraid too Look at me, aren't you.
I wish it wasn't true.
But that's just you.
On lie after another.
Could you look me in the eyes without seeing my mother.
No you couldn't.
Actually you just wouldn't.
You act as if I were a bee.
One sting and I'd be gone.
We'd be done.
I'm sorry to tell you, but you're wrong.
One more lie and you'll have a song.
Here's the thing.
I'm not going anywhere and I just love to sing.
Now it's time to say hello to guilt.
That stinging glass wall you built.
All by yourself.
So tell me how does it feel to be alone with ones self.
So good luck dad.
Wow this reunion is just so sad.
Goodbye and no worries I loved you once before.
I could again but I'd rather be out the door.
