Number The Stars

Hmmmmm I've been learning about the holocaust for a long time, and still I have a few questions. Why are we learning it? Why are we remembering past mistakes? Today is the day I understand a little bit more. I understand that we learn it, because our history is our strengths and our defeats. I still wonder why we would want to learn about our past mistakes.By reading Number The Stars by Lois Lowry, it makes it a little bit more clear. From my opinion it would be, because we don't want to make the same mistakes. So we can take pride in our ancestors. Reading Number The Stars teaches us of our past, and the things that Nazis would do. With a little make believe story and some good facts, this story helps you see a different view of the holocaust. It shows that poeple not not all made the wrong choices. That not all people backed down to the man in control. It shows that there were heroes in the process of destroyers.
