Clarity

There's a truth we all dread to hear and, there's a lie we all pride ourselves on. I learned what it is during the summer of 2009 last year and, now I'm asking you to think hard and see if you can see the truth, if you can hear the lie. It's hard at first but once you really think about it, it'll become clear to you. You'll see the way society tells itself it's better than everybody else, when the truth is we are all equal. To many this is upsetting; there no longer Miss Popularity, they're equal. In this lie of saying I'm so much better than everybody else we strip away our humanity. We turn to pain and cruelty as a companion. We become bullies, judges from the side lines. We become everything that we shouldn't. We become alien to our own culture. This is the truth we all dread to hear and, the lie we all pride ourselves on.

  1. Your writing has rhythm and almost feels likes poetry. I don't understand what the "lie" is however. So I think I need some clarity.

  2. The lie is that society prefers to tell them selves their superior, when in fact where all equal.
